Liquid Theory was forged out of the creative spirit of MTV where founders Julie and Austin Reading met as college interns in NYC. Having the chance to produce, direct, edit, and write across all the Viacom Networks was an incredible crash course in content creation. After a few years of freelance and staff positions, Liquid Theory was born.

Their first project out of the gate was a dream job, having been hand-picked by Bono to produce an emotional tribute to 9/11 at the Super Bowl during the U2 half-time performance, which was quickly followed by a similar event at the White House and eventually a Grammys event both honoring Bono.

After a string of other rewarding projects, the company relocated to Los Angeles where their first official pitch was greenlit to series and they were off. Since then, Liquid Theory has created, produced, directed and written scripted and unscripted series, live action and animated content, award shows, event shows, feature films, commercials, digital branded content, and more.

Currently, Julie is showrunning a 13-episode new baking competition series with Tastemade Media for the Disney Channel and Disney+ which premieres August 2021, where she also serves as an Executive Producer. Prior to this, Julie served as the Creative Executive at the Disney Channel where she ran point on "Disney's Fam Jam", a 21-episode straight-to-series dance competition show, the first of it's kind for the channel.

Austin is currently producing "VAX LIVE" with Global Citizen, hosted by Selena Gomez and featuring Jennifer Lopez, Foo Fighters, H.E.R and more. The show airs on May 8th on ABC, CBS, FOX, iHEART, Youtube and Facebook.

Recently, Liquid Theory produced iHearts "See Her Hear Her" virtual event in March featuring Gwen Stefani, Cardi B and Kelsea Ballerini, as well as iHeart's "FIRST RESPONDER FRIDAYS" series, featuring John Legend, Meghan Trainor, and more.

Austin also recently directed the STAR WARS: Jedi Temple Challenge series for Disney+, the "Dollar Toy Squad" series for Nickelodeon, and served as a Co-EP on Freeform's "31 Nights of Halloween" event show where he also directed the short films.

Recently, Liquid Theory rebranded the music conglomerate LiveXLive, and received a 12-episode pick up for "Alien News Desk" an animated series project they created with their friends at Titmouse Animation on SyFy where they serve as executive producers. They are also prepping for some very exciting projects which will be announced soon.
